Isolation Room 1 in the performance area of Old House is an excellent "utility room." An oak floor and corner traps provide a balanced sound with a nice sense of controlled ambience, while moveable Auralex panels and throw rugs can be used to dampen the sound of the room. This room has proven useful for recording guitar, bass, and keyboard amplifiers, vocals, horns, and even drums. There are also excellent lines of sight between Iso 1 and the additional performance areas. Overhead lights can be dimmed, if desired.
